Job summary

Boston Children’s Hospital is seeking an inventory support role to manage surgical supplies across the OR, PACU and Day Surgery. The individual will restock, verify orders, and assemble case carts to support scheduled and emergent procedures.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or GED required.
• At least 1 year of related experience.
• Strong customer service and clear communication abilities.
• Proficient computer skills and problem solving aptitude; able to work independently and with a team.
• Flexible attitude; able to adapt to department needs.
• Basic records keeping and legible writing skills.

Responsibilities

• Monitor and maintain surgical supplies inventory for SPD, OR, PACU, and Day Surgery.
• Inspect, verify, and record incoming orders; address errors promptly.
• Restock, organize storage areas and case carts; ensure accuracy and expiry checks.
• Assemble and deliver surgical case carts per surgeon preferences; ensure timely delivery.
• Act as liaison between SPD and OR to communicate urgent needs.
• Follow policies for transporting sterilized instruments and using tracking systems.
