Job summary

Hackensack Meridian Health is seeking an Operating Room Equipment Technician to promote the smooth functioning of the OR. You will assist with specialized OR equipment, transport patients to the OR, and support OR staff, surgeons, anesthesia, SPD, and nursing units while maintaining patient privacy and advocating for patients.

The ideal candidate will have a High School diploma or GED, BLS within 60 days, and the ability to work independently and on-call on weekends and holidays.

Qualifications

• High School diploma or GED required (or GED-equivalent programs).

Responsibilities

• Assists in OR with specialized equipment and supplies.
• Transports patients to the OR and to the lab as needed.
• Maintains patient privacy and advocates for patients at all times.
• Keeps OR areas clean and compliant with safety policies.
• On-call availability on weekends and holidays as needed.
