Hackensack Meridian Health seeks an OR Equipment Technician to promote and assure the smooth functioning of the Operating Room. You will perform assigned tasks under supervision, transport patients to the OR, and assist OR staff with specialized equipment, sterilizers, and instrument transport.

Responsibilities include obtaining X-rays, blood, medications, unit beds, and specimens as needed, while maintaining patient privacy and advocacy in stressful situations.

Qualifikationen

• High School diploma, GED, and/or GED equivalent programs.

The Operating Room (OR) Equipment Technician promotes and assures the smooth functioning of the Operating Room by performing assigned tasks under the direct supervision of OR Service Coordinator, Assistant Nurse Manager, and nurse manager. Responsible for patient transport to the OR. Assists OR Staff with specialized OR equipment, operating sterilizers, transporting instruments to SPD, obtaining needed X-rays, Blood, Medications, Unit Beds, and specimens when needed. Demonstrates excellent interpersonal skills and the ability to work under stressful situations. Maintains patient privacy and acts as a patient advocate at all times.

Education, Knowledge, Skills and Abilities Required:

• High School diploma, general equivalency diploma (GED), and/or GED equivalent programs.

Education, Knowledge, Skills and Abilities Preferred:

• Experience in a health care setting.
• Knowledge of aseptic techniques and hospital supplies.

Licenses and Certifications Required:

• BLS AHA Basic Health Care Life Support HCP Certification within 60 days of entering position.
