Job summary

Wellstar Health System is seeking an Environmental Services Associate (ORA) to perform cleaning and terminal cleaning of the OR, PACU, and other areas. This role supports the surgical care model and aids the OR team in daily operations and efficiency.

You will follow safety protocols, stock supplies, and ensure a clean environment compliant with policy. The position requires high school education and at least 1 year in environmental services.

Qualifications

• Minimum 1 year experience in environmental services or a healthcare cleaning role.
• Ability to read and comprehend written and oral instructions.
• Ability to work independently and follow established procedures.
• Strong interpersonal skills for team support and patient privacy.
• Knowledge of standard cleaning devices and safety guidelines.

Responsibilities

• Performs general and terminal cleaning in the OR, PACU, and assigned areas daily and between procedures.
• Maintains a clean, orderly environment in the OR and supporting spaces.
• Assists the OR team by gathering equipment and positioning devices; reports repairs.
• Orders and stocks linens and supplies for OR suites and general areas.
• Transports carts, instruments, supplies, and equipment as directed.
• Adheres to attendance, attire policies, and completes annual training.
