Job summary

Adventist Health Portland seeks an Environmental Services/OR support role to prepare operating rooms, restock linens, and manage biohazard waste under supervision. Responsible for basic patient services in alignment with established standards.

Role requires a high school diploma or GED, CPR/BLS certification, and potential HAZMAT training. Prior environmental services experience is preferred; BLS is required by AH policy.

Qualifications

• High School Education/GED or equivalent is required.
• CPR/BLS certification required.
• Hazardous Materials Training (HAZMAT) certification preferred.
• Basic Life Support (BLS) certification required.

Responsibilities

• Prepares operating rooms for first case of the day by ensuring bed is made, restocking linens, and disposing of waste in proper containers.
• Assists in transportation of equipment and supplies to rooms and restocks as assigned.
• Maintains instruments and hospital-owned equipment in proper condition.
• Completes unit-specific competency assessments and continuing education activities.
• Performs other job-related duties as assigned.
