University Health Truman Medical Center in Kansas City, MO is seeking an Environmental Services Operating Room Technician (EVS OR Tech) to maintain sterile, safe surgical spaces and support infection prevention goals.

You’ll receive specialized training and work with pro-grade cleaning tools to spotless standards, following safety protocols. This role rewards attention to detail, teamwork, and pride in patient safety through a key support function behind the scenes.

Qualificações

• A high school diploma or GED.
• Some hands-on housekeeping experience (hospital/medical setting preferred).
• Willingness to complete special training for surgical area cleaning.
• Know-how with vacuums, scrubbers, polishers, and more.

Responsabilidades

• Give Operating Rooms and surgical areas the VIP cleaning treatment after each procedure.
• Use high-powered vacuums, scrubbers, polishers, and other pro-level tools like a boss.
• Master the art of using the right cleaner on the right surface — no streaks, no damage, just sparkling results.
• Keep things smelling fresh and clean (yes, we mean really clean).
• Stick to strict safety, cleanliness, and infection prevention protocols.
• Team up with Environmental Services, Infection Prevention, and OR pros to learn the ropes and keep your skills sharp.
• Occasionally step into a leadership role when needed and help keep the team on track.
