Job summary

Jefferson Health is seeking an Operating Room Registered Nurse with the potential to serve as Charge Nurse about 1–2 times per week based on departmental needs. The role emphasizes patient- and family-centered care, using the nursing process to address physical, psychological, emotional, and social needs.

The RN will develop individualized care plans with patients and designated care partners, align with cultural beliefs, and adhere to department policies.

Qualifications

• Specialized Diploma graduate of an accredited school of nursing.
• Knowledge of patient- and family-centered care.
• Cultural awareness and effective communication.
• Ability to delegate appropriately.
• Knowledge of nursing assessment and care planning.
• Knowledge of health information documentation and CPR.
• Active RN license in PA.

Responsibilities

• Collaborates with patients and families to develop and implement care plans.
• Applies evidence-based practice to patient care.
• Assists in charge role as needed, following department policy.
• Maintains patient safety and reduces risk through nursing protocols.
• Communicates with inter-professional teams to ensure quality care.
• Documents care and outcomes in health records.
• Participates in committee work and ongoing professional development.
