Job summary

Jefferson Health Northeast seeks an experienced Registered Nurse to provide patient- and family-centered care using evidence-based practices. You will collaborate with patients, families, and staff to plan and educate, while ensuring safety and quality in daily nursing operations.

You will use health IT to document care, monitor outcomes, and participate in safety and improvement initiatives. A strong nursing foundation and an active RN license in PA are required, with BSN preferred.

Qualifications

• Specialized Diploma graduate required.
• Knowledge of patient- and family-centered care and collaboration.
• Knowledge of diverse cultures and respect for backgrounds.
• Strong communication to convey information and gather needs.
• Ability to collaborate with patients and families in care planning.
• Ability to delegate appropriately to the care team.
• Knowledge of discharge planning and post-hospital education.
• BLS certification and RN license in state of practice.

Responsibilities

• Provide patient- and family-centered nursing care following established protocols.
• Integrate evidence-based practice and clinical expertise in care delivery.
• Partner with patients and families to identify learning needs and provide education.
• Use information technology to document, communicate, and manage care.
• Monitor care outcomes and participate in quality-improvement initiatives.
• Work within inter-professional teams and foster respectful communication.
• Support discharge planning and arrange follow-up care as needed.
• Engage in learning opportunities and act as a preceptor where appropriate.
