Qualifications

• Graduate of an accredited School of Professional Nursing.
• Current State of Texas license or compact license to practice professional nursing.
• Basic Life Support certification.
• Additional certifications may be required based on discipline and/or nursing unit requirements.

Responsibilities

• Delivers safe and appropriate care to patients according to nursing standards and patient needs.
• Coordinates nursing care with an interdisciplinary team and makes appropriate clinical decisions.
• Collaborates with and may delegate tasks to the healthcare team to achieve positive outcomes.
• Develops and implements discharge and transfer plans.
• Participates in program evaluation, process improvement and patient-centered outcomes.
