Job summary

FRANCISCAN ORTHOPEDIC SURGERY CENTER in Indiana is seeking an Operating Room Certified Surgical Technologist (CST) to support the surgical team. The role includes preparing trays, sterile drapes, and assisting with patient prep, instrument passing, and counts to ensure patient safety.

Local candidates are preferred. Schedule is No weekends or holidays, and a sign-on bonus of up to $5,000 may be available. Prior OR experience is valued for this full-time/PRN/part-time position.

Qualifications

• Certified Surgical Technologist (CST) is required.
• High School Diploma or GED is required.
• 1 year surgical experience is preferred.

Responsibilities

• Arrange instrument trays, prepare sterile drapes and solutions, and help the surgical team put on caps, gowns, and gloves.
• Assist with prep of patients as needed.
• Pass instruments to surgeons and surgical assistants.
• May assist with sponge, needle, and other supply counts to track materials used in surgery.
• May operate suction, diagnostic, and sterilizing equipment, and package specimens for laboratory analysis.
• Clinic responsibilities may include rooming patients, taking vitals, orders, and routing phone calls.
