Job summary

MedCadre is seeking a Certified Surgical Technologist to support the surgical team by preparing the operating room, maintaining a sterile environment, and assisting with safe procedures. You will pass instruments, maintain counts, and help with specimen handling in a fast-paced OR.

The ideal candidate has an accredited surgical technology program, CST and BLS certifications, and OR experience. Strong teamwork and communication are essential to ensure patient safety and efficiency.

Qualifications

• Graduate of an accredited Surgical Technology program.
• Current CST certification.
• Current BLS certification.
• Experience in OR or surgical setting preferred.
• Strong knowledge of sterile technique and instruments, and teamwork.

Responsibilities

• Prepare the operating room, instruments, supplies, and equipment for surgical procedures.
• Maintain a sterile field and follow infection prevention and safety standards.
• Pass instruments and supplies to surgeons during procedures.
• Perform accurate counts of instruments, sponges, and supplies.
• Assist with specimen handling and labeling.
• Clean, organize, and restock the operating room after procedures.

Key Responsibilities:

• Prepare the operating room, instruments, supplies, and equipment for surgical procedures.
• Maintain a sterile field and follow infection prevention and safety standards.
• Pass instruments and supplies to surgeons and assist the surgical team during procedures.
• Perform accurate counts of instruments, sponges, and supplies.
• Assist with specimen handling and proper labeling according to established procedures.
• Clean, organize, and restock the operating room after procedures.

Qualifications:

• Graduate of an accredited Surgical Technology program.
• Current CST certification as applicable.
• Current BLS certification.
• Previous Operating Room or surgical experience preferred.
• Strong knowledge of surgical instruments, sterile technique, communication, and teamwork skills.
