Job summary

Providence Medford Medical Center is seeking a Perioperative Aide to join the surgical team under the supervision of the perioperative nurse. You will assist the anesthesia provider, help clean and prepare operating rooms, and transport patients safely.

Responsibilities include stocking and decontaminating equipment, processing instruments, and maintaining OR supplies, ensuring environment safety and readiness for procedures.

Qualifications

• BLS certification required upon hire.
• At least 1 year OR experience in an accredited hospital.
• Anesthesia experience preferred.

Responsibilities

• Clean and prepare operating rooms for procedures.
• Safely transport patients between areas.
• Retrieve and decontaminate equipment as needed.
• Stock general supplies in OR and work room.

Job description

Functions as a member of the surgical team under the direct supervision and direction of the registered perioperative nurse. The Perioperative Aide assists in the OR function, by assisting the anesthesia provider, by cleaning and preparing operating rooms, safely transporting patients, retrieving and decontaminating equipment, stocking general supplies in the operating rooms and work room, processing and maintaining equipment, supplies, instruments, and other related equipment as needed.

Required Qualifications:

• National Provider BLS - American Heart Association upon hire.
• 1 yearClinical experience in an accredited hospital with operating room experience.

Preferred Qualifications:
