Job summary

Providence Medford Medical Center is seeking a Perioperative Aide to join the surgical team. You will operate under the supervision of the perioperative nurse, assisting in the OR by supporting the anesthesia provider, cleaning and preparing rooms, transporting patients, and maintaining equipment and supplies.

This role emphasizes patient-focused care within Providence's culture, with opportunities to work across the OR workflow and contribute to a safe, efficient operating environment.

Qualifications

  • BLS (American Heart Association) certification required upon hire.
  • 1 year clinical experience in an accredited hospital with operating room experience.

Responsibilities

  • Assist in the OR under supervision of perioperative nurse.
  • Assist anesthesia provider and support OR functions.
  • Clean and prepare operating rooms, stock supplies, transport patients.
  • Retrieve and decontaminate equipment and maintain instruments and equipment as needed.

Description

Functions as a member of the surgical team under the direct supervision and direction of the registered perioperative nurse. The Perioperative Aide assists in the OR function, by assisting the anesthesia provider, by cleaning and preparing operating rooms, safely transporting patients, retrieving and decontaminating equipment, stocking general supplies in the operating rooms and work room, processing and maintaining equipment, supplies, instruments, and other related equipment as needed.

Required Qualifications:
  • National Provider BLS - American Heart Association upon hire.
  • 1 year Clinical experience in an accredited hospital with operating room experience.
Preferred Qualifications:
  • Anesthesia experience.

Posted are the minimum and the maximum wage rates on the wage range for this position. The successful candidate's placement on the wage range for this position will be determined based upon relevant job experience and other applicable factors. These amounts are the base pay range; additional compensation may be available for this role, such as shift differentials, standby/on-call, overtime, premiums, extra shift incentives, or bonus opportunities.

Pay Range: $20.00 - $27.10
