Job summary

Providence St. Mary Medical Center in Washington state is seeking an Operating Room Assistant to support perioperative services with emphasis on sanitation, safety and efficient room turnover.

The PSA works collaboratively with nurses, physicians and staff to maintain a clean, safe environment for patients undergoing procedures. The role requires the ability to work variable shifts, physical stamina, and adherence to clinical standards.

Qualifications

• National Provider BLS - American Heart Association is required at hire.
• Previous experience in Environmental Services or Anesthesia Technician is preferred.

Operating Room Assistant

The Perioperative Support Assistant is responsible for sanitation, cleanliness, safety and smooth operation throughout the operating rooms and surrounding areas. The PSA must be physically able to do the job, have the ability to work alone or work as a member of a high energy team, demonstrate good judgment (common sense), and possess the ability to work cooperatively and pleasantly with others in all levels of the organization, including patients, staff, physicians and visitors.

• Upon hire: National Provider BLS - American Heart Association

Preferred Qualifications:

• Previous experience Environmental Services or Anesthesia Technician.
