Job summary

MercyOne North Iowa Medical Center in Mason City, IA is seeking a Nursing Support (NS) colleague at a full‑time Day shift. You will provide safe, quality health care under supervision, assist with care plans, document data, and collaborate with the care team to achieve positive patient outcomes.

Eligible candidates include CNAs or students in nursing programs (ADN/BSN) and graduates of accredited nursing programs.

Qualifications

• Formal Nurse Aide course or CNA certificate required or in progress.
• Enrollment in Scrub Technologist, ADN or BSN with initial nursing coursework acceptable.
• Graduate of ADN, Diploma, BSN, or LPN program.

Responsibilities

• Assists with physical, psychosocial, environmental, spiritual, social and education needs.
• Provides input/data on changes in patient condition to RN.
• Records patient information accurately in EMR or paper chart.
• Collaborates with interdisciplinary team to achieve desired outcomes.
• Supports development of yearly performance and growth plans.
• Maintains patient comfort, safety, dignity, privacy and confidentiality.
• Participates in departmental/organizational meetings and in-services.
• Assists with staffing needs and utilizes resources effectively.
