Job summary

CAM Industrial Solutions LLC is seeking an Operating Engineer to ensure the safe and efficient operation of plant equipment, including turbines, boilers, and electrical systems in our Los Angeles facility.

You will monitor performance, enforce safety regulations, and coordinate with maintenance teams to optimize operations while upholding the highest standards of safety. This role includes 12-hour rotating shifts and requires strong problem-solving and clear communication.

Qualifications

• Bachelors degree in engineering or related technical science is required.
• Experience in chiller operations and aero-derivative gas turbine operations is highly desirable.
• Physically demanding tasks include climbing vertical ladders, working in confined spaces, wearing a respirator, and lifting up to 40 pounds.
• Ability to work 12-hour rotating shifts (nights, weekends, holidays).
• Proficiency in industry-related software applications.
• Strong written and verbal communication in English.

Responsibilities

• Ensure safe and efficient operation of plant equipment, including turbines, boilers, and electrical systems.
• Monitor plant performance and enforce safety regulations with maintenance and operations teams.
• Supervise external contractors and maintenance teams to maintain a hazard-free environment.
• Read and interpret plant drawings, procedures, and electrical diagrams to guide operations.
• Plan and participate in on-shift preventative maintenance activities and ensure proper shift handoffs.
