Job summary

JLL in Greensboro/Winston-Salem seeks an Operating Engineer (Static) to maintain building systems across four financial-office properties. You will perform hands-on maintenance, monitor performance, and assist with preventive maintenance to keep HVAC and related systems operating safely and efficiently.

Required: high school diploma or GED, 2+ years in building maintenance, and an accredited trade school degree in HVAC, electronics, or related fields; Universal CFC certification preferred.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or GED.
• 2+ years of experience in the building maintenance industry.
• Accredited trade school degree in HVAC, electronic, or related trade. Union training acceptable.
• Universal CFC certification.

Responsibilities

• Performs maintenance and monitoring repairs to mechanical, plumbing, structural, and life-safety systems.
• Manages facility services, preventive maintenance, inventory, and vendor coordination.
• Maintains HVAC equipment and ensures optimal performance.
• Reviews client service summaries to address recurring issues.
• Inspects deliveries for accuracy and quality; records readings and makes adjustments as needed.
• Ensures safety procedures for hazardous materials and maintains a clean, safe workspace.
• Monitors outside contractor work for quality and pricing.
