VINECOURT LANDSCAPING AND GAS LINE is seeking a skilled Directional Drill Operator to join the team in Ohio. As a Driller, you will operate directional bore machines, excavators, trucks, and loaders on construction sites, reading blueprints and following plans to ensure precise drilling and trenching.

This physically demanding role requires mechanical knowledge, 2–3 years of relevant experience, and a valid clean driver's license.

Qualifications

  • Preferably 2–3 years' experience or training in operating directional bore machines, excavators, trucks and trailers.
  • Strong mechanical knowledge and understanding of equipment operation.
  • Ability to read and interpret project plans and blueprints.
  • Excellent problem-solving skills and attention to detail.
  • Physical stamina and ability to work in various weather conditions.

Responsibilities

  • Operate and maneuver heavy equipment, including directional bore machines, excavators, trucks and trailers, loaders and other machinery.
  • Work around utility locates to provide safe digging and drilling.
  • Perform drilling operations to dig holes and trenches for construction projects.
  • Follow project plans and blueprints to ensure accurate drilling and excavation.
  • Monitor equipment performance and report any malfunctions or issues to the supervisor.
  • Maintain a clean and safe work environment by adhering to safety regulations and procedures.
  • Collaborate with team members to complete projects in a timely manner.
  • Conduct routine maintenance on equipment to ensure optimal performance.

Job Overview

We are seeking a skilled Directional Drill Operator to join our team. As a Driller, you will be responsible for operating heavy equipment and machinery to horizontally bore utilities. This is a physically demanding role that requires mechanical knowledge and experience in operating equipment such as directional bore machines, excavators, dump/utility trucks, and loaders. A valid, clean driver's license is required.
