VINECOURT LANDSCAPING AND GAS LINE in Ohio is seeking a skilled Directional Drill Operator to join our team. You will operate directional bore machines and related heavy equipment to install utilities, safely and efficiently.

This position requires 2–3 years of experience, good mechanical knowledge, and the ability to read blueprints and project plans. A valid driver’s license is required, and you must be able to work in varying weather conditions.

Job Overview

We are seeking a skilled Directional Drill Operator to join our team. As a Driller, you will be responsible for operating heavy equipment and machinery to horizontally bore utilities. This is a physically demanding role that requires mechanical knowledge and experience in operating equipment such as directional bore machines, excavators, dump/utility trucks, and loaders. A valid, clean driver's license is required.

Responsibilities

• Operate and maneuver heavy equipment, including directional bore machines, excavators, trucks and trailers, loaders, and other machinery
• Work around utility locates to provide safe digging/drilling
• Perform drilling operations to dig holes and trenches for construction projects
• Follow project plans and blueprints to ensure accurate drilling and excavation
• Monitor equipment performance and report any malfunctions or issues to the supervisor
• Maintain a clean and safe work environment by adhering to safety regulations and procedures
• Collaborate with team members to complete projects in a timely manner
• Conduct routine maintenance on equipment to ensure optimal performance

Qualifications

• Preferably at least 2-3 years' experience or education/training equivalent in operating directional bore machines, excavators, trucks and trailers
• Strong mechanical knowledge and understanding of equipment operation
• Ability to read and interpret project plans and blueprints
• Excellent problem-solving skills and attention to detail
• Physical stamina and ability to work in various weather conditions
