Job Title: OpenText NOM / NNMi Engineer Experience: 710 Years Location: Pan India (Remote)

Job Summary

We are looking for an experienced OpenText NOM / NNMi Network Monitoring Engineer with 7–10 years of experience in enterprise network monitoring, event management, and infrastructure operations. The ideal candidate will have strong hands‑on expertise in OpenText Network Operations Management (NOM), Network Node Manager i (NNMi), network fault and performance monitoring, event correlation, and monitoring optimization.

The candidate will be responsible for managing network monitoring platforms, troubleshooting critical network incidents, integrating monitoring tools with ITSM platforms, and improving operational efficiency through automation.

Key Responsibilities

• Administer, configure, and maintain OpenText NOM and NNMi monitoring platforms.
• Configure network discovery, monitoring policies, thresholds, alarms, and event correlation rules.
• Monitor enterprise network infrastructure, including routers, switches, firewalls, load balancers, and wireless controllers.
• Perform root cause analysis (RCA) and troubleshoot complex network monitoring and event management issues.
• Implement alarm correlation, event suppression, event enrichment, and event dampening to reduce alert noise.
• Develop and maintain dashboards, reports, and performance metrics for network operations.
• Integrate NOM/NNMi with ITSM platforms such as ServiceNow, BMC Remedy, or similar ticketing systems.
• Configure and manage SNMP, Syslog, and NetFlow-based monitoring solutions.
• Develop scripts and automation workflows to streamline monitoring administration and reporting.
• Support incident, problem, and change management processes.
• Maintain monitoring platform availability, health, performance, and high availability (HA) configurations.
• Collaborate with network engineering and operations teams to improve monitoring coverage and reduce mean time to resolution (MTTR).
• Create and maintain compliance policies, change plans, configuration validation checks, and technical documentation.
• Support advanced NNMi topology design, network discovery optimization and monitoring architecture improvements.
