Job summary

Cisco Systems, Inc. is seeking a Software Engineer for the CloudV team to evolve and stabilize the OpenStack platform. You will own end-to-end lifecycle automation, reducing manual tasks and improving reliability across internal product teams.

You will contribute to observability pipelines and build tenant-facing features to streamline cloud resource access. The role emphasizes containerization, virtualization, and cloud engineering with a strong focus on Python development and automation at

Qualifications

Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or a related field.
3+ years of industry experience in infrastructure, virtualization, or cloud engineering.
1+ years of experience with a public cloud (AWS, Azure, or GCP).
1+ years of experience with Docker.
1+ years of experience with CI/CD or DevOps systems.

Responsibilities

Own end-to-end lifecycle automation of the platform to reduce manual intervention.
Contribute to observability frameworks and telemetry pipelines for system health insights.
Develop tenant-facing functionality to simplify cloud resource consumption for developers.
Stabilize and evolve the OpenStack platform toward enterprise-grade reliability.
