Overview
We are seeking a skilled OpenShift Infrastructure Engineer to join Client’s Private Cloud team. This role is critical to the day-to-day management and stability of our private cloud infrastructure, with a primary focus on the Red Hat OpenShift platform. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in container platforms, infrastructure operations, and cloud-native technologies.
Responsibilities
- Manage and maintain OpenShift (v4.x preferred) in a production environment.
- Perform platform patching, upgrades, and lifecycle management.
- Monitor infrastructure using tools like Prometheus, Grafana, and EFK/ELK stacks.
- Support CI/CD practices using tools such as Git, ADO, Jenkins, and ArgoCD.
- Implement networking and security concepts in a cloud-native environment.
- Develop and maintain scripts using Bash, Python, Ansible, etc.
Required Qualifications
- 3+ years of experience with OpenShift in a production environment.
- Strong understanding of Kubernetes architecture and container orchestration.
- Proficiency in Linux system administration (RHEL preferred).
- Experience with platform patching, upgrades, and lifecycle management.
- Hands-on experience with infrastructure monitoring, logging, and alerting tools.
- Familiarity with CI/CD practices and related tools.
- Knowledge of networking and security concepts within a cloud-native environment.
Preferred Qualifications
- Experience with virtualization platforms and private cloud environments (e.g., VMware/OpenShift Virt).
- Familiarity with service mesh, ingress controllers, and load balancers.
- Experience in highly regulated or enterprise-scale environments.
- Red Hat Certified Specialist in OpenShift Administration or equivalent certification.
