Job summary

Amazon OpenSearch Service is a fully managed service on AWS that helps deploy, operate, and scale OpenSearch clusters for log analytics and search workloads. As part of AWS, you will solve distributed systems challenges, implement core features in Java and Rust, and enable multi-tenant performance and security at scale.

You will work with Rust, Java, Python, Golang, and AWS-native services to build reliable services across regions, tackling data ingestion, auto-scaling, and query optimization

Qualifications

• 3+ years of non-internship professional software development experience.
• 2+ years of design or architecture experience (design patterns, reliability and scaling) of new and existing systems.
• Experience programming with at least one programming language (Java, Rust, Python, Go).

Responsibilities

• Design, develop and support high throughput, highly available, distributed, multi-tenant, cloud native systems.
• Produce bullet-proof code in Java and Rust; contribute to core OpenSearch Service features.
• Lead development and maintenance of key system features for Amazon OpenSearch Service.
• Design scalable, fault-tolerant distributed systems.
• Tackle data ingestion, auto-scaling, data storage, search and query optimization, security and ML concerns.
• Identify operational improvements to reduce maintenance and development cost.
