Ophelia Tavern & Bar Top at The Dale in Avondale Estates seeks experienced servers to join the opening team. The two-in-one concept offers Italian-inspired comfort food with a whiskey-forward bar program in a rooftop and indoor setting.

You’ll greet guests, guide through the menu, and deliver attentive service in a busy, high-energy environment. Flexibility for evenings, weekends, and holidays is required; full training is provided.

Qualifications

• Previous full-service restaurant experience is preferred.
• Strong hospitality-focused personality with guest-centric approach.
• Ability to guide guests through the menu and beverage program.
• Knowledge of food and beverage offerings and allergens.
• Experience with suggestive selling and recommendations.
• Ability to describe menu items naturally and accurately.
• Understand and execute steps of service flawlessly.
• Excellent multitasking, communication, and organizational skills.
• Manage multiple tables in a high-volume setting.
• Maintain attentiveness and professionalism during busy periods.
• Attention to detail, dependability, punctuality, and appearance.
• Team player with flexibility for evenings, weekends, and events.

Responsibilities

• Warmly greet guests and provide a welcoming service from start to finish.
• Guide guests through the menu and beverage offerings with confidence.
• Describe ingredients, preparation methods, flavors, and portions as appropriate.
• Make thoughtful recommendations and upsell where suitable.
• Suggest appetizers, entrées, pizzas, pastas, desserts, cocktails, beer, and wine.
• Maintain knowledge of ingredients, modifications, and allergens.
• Communicate dietary concerns per company procedures.
• Take orders accurately and enter into POS promptly.
• Follow proper steps of service and pace for each table.
• Monitor tables, deliver food and beverages accurately and timely.
• Maintain clean, organized service areas and reset tables as needed.
• Process payments responsibly and complete opening/closing side work.
• Collaborate with bartenders, hosts, kitchen staff, and managers.
• Support team during high-volume service and events.
