Job summary

Colen Built Development is seeking an Opening General Manager for The Nest at Calesa, an open-air hospitality destination. You will lead the senior on-site team across Cow Bird Kitchen, Faregrounds, events, and facilities, driving guest experience and financial performance.

You will recruit, coach, and retain leaders, maintain safety standards, and coordinate with centralized Marketing, Finance, HR, IT, and Risk teams.

Qualifications

• 8+ years of progressive hospitality, entertainment venue, or related operations experience.
• At least 5 years leading managers in a high-volume environment.
• Experience with budgets, forecasts, P&L, labor planning.
• Experience coordinating public events and external contractors.
• Knowledge of Florida food service and alcohol requirements preferred.
• Bachelor’s degree preferred; equivalent progressive experience considered.

Responsibilities

• Lead the on-site operations for The Nest, including restaurants, events, and facilities.
• Build and lead a high-performing leadership team across departments.
• Own the consolidated operating plan and financial performance.
• Ensure safety, guest experience, and compliance with regulations.
• Open milestones and coordinate vendor setup and opening program.
