Job summary

Baxter Hotel Group leads the opening of two brand-new Hilton hotels in downtown San Diego. This Food & Beverage Manager role drives all F&B operations across breakfast, rooftop bar, pool deck and market, delivering guest-centric experiences and brand-aligned service.

You will build a high-performing team, manage budgets and vendor relationships, and ensure compliance with health and safety standards while championing Hilton’s elevated hospitality.

Qualifications

• Ideal candidate has 3+ years leading kitchen and bar operations in hotel-like settings.
• Experience with menu development, cost controls and waste reduction is required.
• Pre-opening and opening-team experience is a plus.

Responsibilities

• Lead day-to-day food and beverage operations including breakfast, rooftop bar, pool deck and market.
• Set up breakfast, kitchen operations and vendor coordination for opening.
• Oversee all kitchen operations, prep, line, production and sanitation.
• Develop, cost and standardize recipes and menus to Hilton standards.
• Oversee breakfast buffet, supervise attendants, and ensure guest satisfaction.
• Build and manage rooftop bar programs, inventory and compliance with laws.
• Plan rooftop events with sales/marketing to drive revenue.
• Ensure food safety, sanitation and health department compliance.
• Manage budgets, payroll, purchasing, and pricing; report to hotel leadership.
