Job summary

El Paso County is seeking a Capital Projects Manager to lead transportation infrastructure initiatives, including roadways, multimodal projects, and airport development. You will manage planning, budgeting, and funding across local, state, and federal sources, and collaborate with multiple departments and external partners.

The role requires a bachelor’s degree with six years’ experience, plus supervisory responsibilities; PMP and Six Sigma certifications are preferred.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in business or public administration, construction science, engineering or related field with six years’ experience.
• Candidate may substitute equivalent education/experience.
• Master’s degree and professional certifications preferred.

Responsibilities

• Plans, Organizes, develops, implements, oversees and reviews capital programs and portfolios.
• Maintains databases of capital projects and monitors revenues, grants and funding.
• Reviews funding, budgets and grant spending rates and reports deviations.
