Job summary

The University of Houston's Graduate College of Social Work invites applications for two full-time, open rank faculty positions starting Fall 2027. Successful candidates will teach graduate-level MSW and PhD courses, engage in research, and contribute to service at multiple levels within the college and university.

We seek scholars with a strong research agenda aligned with health, social determinants of health, clinical social work, and aging, who can build external funding and collaborate

Qualifications

• Ph.D. in Social Work, DSW, or equivalent doctoral degree; ABD considered if degree earned by start.
• MSW from CSWE-accredited program and 2 years post-MSW experience.
• Potential for scholarly productivity with peer-reviewed presentations, publications, etc.
• Strong potential for securing external funding.

Responsibilities

• Teach graduate-level MSW and PhD courses.
• Engage in research and contribute to scholarly output.
• Participate in service at the College, University, and professional levels.
• Develop and maintain an externally funded research program.
