The Graduate College of Social Work (GCSW) at the University of Houston invites applications for two full-time, open-rank faculty positions with appointments beginning Fall 2027. We seek scholars who will advance social work education and collaborate across disciplines.

Responsibilities include teaching graduate MSW and PhD courses, developing a dynamic externally funded research program, and engaging in service at the college, university, and professional levels.

Qualifications

• Ph.D. in Social Work or an equivalent doctoral degree from an accredited institution; ABD considered if degree earned by start date.
• MSW from a CSWE-accredited program and 2 years of post-MS W experience.
• Evidence of scholarly productivity (peer-reviewed presentations, publications, etc.).
• Strong potential for external funding.

Responsabilités

• Teach graduate-level social work courses in the MSW and Ph.D. programs.
• Engage in research and participate in service at the College, University, and professional levels.
• Develop and maintain a dynamic, externally funded research program.
• Contribute to curriculum design and inter-disciplinary collaboration.
