Job summary

The Division of Cardiac Intensive Care at the University of Washington is seeking two candidates to join our faculty as full-time Assistant Professor, Associate Professor, or Professor on the Clinical Practice track, with an anticipated start date Summer 2026.

Duties include stabilization and longitudinal management of pediatric, adolescent, and young adults with congenital and acquired heart disease, as well as management of patients on ECMO and ventricular assist devices.

Qualifications

• MD/DO or foreign equivalent required or acceptable.
• US Board certification or eligibility in Pediatric Critical Care Medicine and Cardiology.
• Completion of pediatric residency.
• Cardiac Intensive Care fellowship training.
• Eligible for medical licensure in Washington state.
• For H-1B visa sponsorship, has completed USMLE steps as required.

Responsibilities

• Stabilization and longitudinal management of pediatric, adolescent, and young adults with congenital and acquired heart disease.
• Management of patients on ECMO and ventricular assist devices.
• Lead and collaborate within a multidisciplinary Cardiac IC environment.
• Engage in teaching, research and service activities.

Education
