Qualifications

• Doctor of Optometry (OD) or equivalent doctoral degree from an accredited institution.
• Eligibility for optometry licensure in North Carolina, if position requires clinical care.
• Completion of an accredited residency program or a minimum of three (3) years clinical experience with an active unrestricted license.
• Demonstrated ability to teach, mentor, or clinically supervise at the doctoral/professional level.

Responsibilities

• Teach in classroom, laboratory, and/or clinical settings and participate in course development and assessment.
• Engage in scholarly activity consistent with rank and tenure expectations.
• Support accreditation efforts and participate in governance and service to the College.
