Seattle University College of Nursing and Health Sciences invites applications for a 9-month, tenure-track faculty position in the Department of Kinesiology, starting August 1, 2027. The role emphasizes teaching, scholarly activity, service, and institution building within a Jesuit Catholic university.

Qualifications

• An earned doctorate (Ph.D. or equivalent) in Kinesiology or a closely related discipline.
• A record of scholarly achievement and teaching excellence appropriate to the rank sought.
• Evidence of a beginning or sustained program of research, including peer‑reviewed publications.
• Strong interpersonal and communication skills and the ability to foster a culture of collaboration, innovation, and inclusion.
• Strong organizational skills.
• Demonstrated collegiality and ability to work collaboratively with faculty, staff, and students.

Responsibilities

• Teach courses at undergraduate and graduate levels in kinesiology.
• Engage in scholarly activity and publish peer‑reviewed work.
• Provide service to the department and institution, contributing to initiatives and governance.
• Mentor students and foster community engagement and interdisciplinary collaboration.
