As teacher-scholars, tenure-track faculty are expected to actively contribute to teaching, scholarly activity, service, and institution building.

The department emphasizes hands-on research, mentorship, and community engagement to support student development and diverse communities.

Qualifications

• Earned doctorate (Ph.D. or equivalent) in Kinesiology or closely related discipline.
• Record of scholarly achievement and teaching excellence appropriate to the rank sought.
• Evidence of a beginning or sustained program of research, including peer‑reviewed publications.
• Strong interpersonal and communication skills and the ability to foster a culture of collaboration, innovation, and inclusion.
• Strong organizational skills.
• Demonstrated collegiality and ability to work collaboratively with faculty, staff, and students.
