Summary: Full-time tenure-track appointment at either the assistant, associate or professor rank, with primary curricular and teaching responsibilities within the College of Medicine (COM) in the Department of Integrative Medical Sciences. Requires understanding and oversight of contemporary curriculum delivery, content development, evaluation and performance outcomes with primary teaching responsibilities in systems physiology and/or pathophysiology.
Teaching and Service: Participate in medical and graduate student education based on areas of expertise, contributing to direct teaching needs. Evaluating the success of teaching contributions may be based on student achievement, student evaluations, course/module director evaluations, and peer evaluations. Ongoing success in teaching activities is essential to maintaining a faculty appointment. Active participation on college and university committees will be required and assigned. In addition, membership and participation in state and national professional organizations is strongly encouraged. Evaluating the success of service obligations will be based on level of participation and engagement in support of related activities.
Research: Participate in scholarly activities and/or research focus areas as appropriate. Seek extramural funding opportunities, write and submit proposals, conduct collaborative scholarly inquiry. Maintain extramural funding and productivity, generate a percentage of base salary through extramural support. Publish quality papers. Serve on journal editorial board and peer-review committees. Evaluating the success of this research obligation will be based on efforts toward publication and grant success.

The Departments of Integrative Medical Sciences and Anatomy and Neurobiology are merging into the Department of BioMedical Sciences, effective July 1, 2025.
