Position Description: The Department of Engineering Technology is seeking applicants to fill a non tenure-line position at the rank of Professor, Associate Professor or Assistant Professor of Instruction to teach in the online Master of Science and the new (pending approval by the Southern Association of Colleges and Schools Commission on Colleges) PhD program in Engineering Management at Texas State University. The chosen candidate will provide relevant and innovative instruction within the Engineering Management program, primarily for distance learning students. Applicants with expertise in all areas related to management science, operations research, analytics, engineering management, industrial engineering, and engineering technology are invited to apply, with particular consideration given to candidates with past online teaching experience in an engineering or industry management discipline. This position is remote-work eligible.
The individual selected for this position will be expected to teach graduate level and some undergraduate courses, as departmental needs require. Other responsibilities may include service to the department and the university, industry outreach, mentoring graduate students and general academic and career advising and assistance. The selected candidate will be given the appropriate rank based on college and university standards and policies. This position is subject to the availability of funds.
