Job summary

Williams College invites applications for an open-rank (tenured or tenure-track) position in macroeconomics to begin July 1, 2027. The department seeks candidates whose research and teaching focus on policy-relevant macroeconomics, including monetary or fiscal stabilization in advanced or emerging economies.

Teaching load is two courses per semester with strong support for research and funding applications. The position serves both undergraduate and Master’s programs in policy economics.

Qualifications

• Ph.D. or attainment by Sep 2027 expected.
• Experience in macroeconomics research and policy-relevant work.
• Evidence of teaching and mentoring undergraduates and/or graduates.

Responsibilities

• Conduct research in policy-relevant macroeconomics.
• Teach two courses per semester in economics.
• Contribute to Williams College undergraduate and MA programs.
