Job summary

Nevada Gold Mines is seeking an Open Pit Washbay Technician to join the Cortez District Open Pit Maintenance Team. You will perform daily wash bay duties, assist with light mechanical servicing, and help maintain a safe, efficient operation in a dynamic mining environment.

The role emphasizes safety, teamwork, and collaboration across maintenance groups, with opportunities to contribute to the transformation of traditional mining through digital approaches within Nevada Gold Mines.

Qualifications

• Basic mechanic aptitude preferred.
• Previous underground mining experience preferred.
• Ability to operate various types of moving equipment preferred.
• Basic computer skills required.
• Proven strong safety record and good attendance required.
• Ability to perform the essential functions of the position.

Responsibilities

• Daily fuel bay and wash bay duties including fueling and light mechanical servicing of equipment.
• Wash equipment in preparation for PM work with a focus on safety.
• Support work management, reliability, maintenance cost, and performance within the maintenance team.
• Maintain personal hand tools for functionality and cleanliness.
• Maintain high housekeeping standards for a safe and healthy workplace.
• Establish work relationships to efficiently execute daily maintenance in assigned zone.
• Perform other duties as assigned.
