Job summary

Nevada Gold Mines is seeking an Open Pit Maintenance Supervisor at our Cortez operations to ensure safe, efficient maintenance of the truck and support fleet. The role requires leadership, hands-on experience with large open-pit equipment, and the ability to manage a team across shifts.

Qualified candidates will have five years of relevant maintenance experience, plus preferred supervisory exposure and strong communication skills.

Qualifications

• Five years of experience in the maintenance of large, open-pit mobile equipment in a planned maintenance environment.
• Two years in maintenance supervisory or lead role preferred.
• Proficiency with Microsoft Office, Oracle, and dispatch systems.
• Excellent leadership and written/verbal communication skills.
• Willingness to cross-train in Maintenance Planning.
• Ability to work with maintenance technicians and site personnel.
• Ability to perform the essential functions of this job; rotating shifts nights/days are required.

Responsibilities

• Ensure planned maintenance activities for the truck and support fleet are executed safely and efficiently.
• Track maintenance on a fleet of surface mining equipment.
• Conduct employee performance evaluations and monitor safety metrics and hours for direct reports.
• Record maintenance data and participate in FRAs; document incidents in RIMS and maintain QC procedures.
• Promote a safe working environment and support continuous improvement initiatives.
• Provide support to operations as required.
• Perform other duties as assigned.
