Job summary

SSR Mining Inc. is seeking a Mine Operations Supervisor to lead a rotating shift and supervise up to 40 equipment operators at a high-altitude, open pit site.

The role emphasizes safety culture, production targets, and cross‑department collaboration to deliver the short-range mine plan. The successful candidate will have 3+ years in mine operations (7+ preferred), strong leadership, and effective communication.

Qualifications

• Minimum 3 years of mine operations experience in an open pit setting; 7+ years preferred.
• Prior supervisory or lead person experience required.
• Demonstrated leadership and teambuilding skills.
• Ability to communicate effectively using business communication forms.

Responsibilities

• Create and maintain a strong safety culture.
• Facilitate team involvement in safety programs.
• Promote and enforce safety standards to deliver safe production.
• Conduct safety meetings and inspections.
• Provide coaching and leadership to the crew.
• Work with other departments to deliver the short-range mine plan.
• Clearly communicate daily objectives and priorities to operators.
• Monitor activities to ensure compliance with the mine plan.
• Identify training needs and schedule training for safety and production goals.
• Complete performance evaluations and recommend promotions.
