Job summary

Nevada Gold Mines is hiring a Maintenance Technician in Carlin, NV to support open pit operations. You will perform routine maintenance on large mining fleets and support equipment, ensuring high availability and safe operation.

The role requires 2+ years of maintenance experience with basic knowledge of mechanics, hydraulics and pneumatics, plus strong safety and communication skills. Ability to lift 50 lbs and work rotating shifts is essential.

Qualifications

• 2+ years of maintenance experience preferred.
• Basic knowledge of mechanics, hydraulics and pneumatics required.
• Ability to work safely with minimal supervision required.
• Ability to communicate effectively with a wide variety of people required.
• Experience handling tires preferred.
• Must lift at least 50 lbs. and perform strenuous physical labor.
• Proven safe work record and ability to work in a growing, fast-paced environment.
• Housekeeping standards must be kept high.
• Good written and verbal communication skills required.
• Ability to rotate between night and day shifts is essential.

Responsibilities

• Complete routine maintenance activities for large mining and support equipment fleets.
• Maintain shop areas, tooling and service vehicles to ensure a clean, safe work environment.
• Perform daily pre-shift inspections and participate in hazard identification processes.
• Perform other duties as assigned.
