Job summary

Nevada Gold Mines is seeking an Open Pit Maintenance Mechanic for our Phoenix operations. You will service, repair, and maintain surface mining equipment and operate light and heavy gear as needed.

Qualifications

• Three or more years of experience maintaining heavy equipment in mining, construction or farming.
• Experience maintaining diesel equipment.
• Experience maintaining electrical, hydraulic, and pneumatic systems on mobile equipment.
• Ability to read and understand schematics of mobile equipment.
• Strong problem-solving skills.
• Proven excellent safety and attendance record.
• Demonstrated ability to perform the essential functions of the job.

Responsibilities

• Service, maintain, and repair surface mining equipment.
• Operation of light and heavy equipment as needed.
• Troubleshoot equipment and apply best practices to repair and maintain mining equipment.
