Job summary

Valley Hospital Medical Center in Las Vegas seeks an experienced Surgical Technologist to support cardiothoracic procedures. You will scrub Open Heart cases, prepare perfusion tubing, and assist the heart-lung machine team with instrumentation and workflow, ensuring patient safety and operating room efficiency.

The ideal candidate has 2+ years scrub experience in a major OR, CST certification, and current BLS. High school diploma or equivalent required; accredited tech program preferred.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent.
• Successful completion of an accredited surgical technologist program or approved equivalent training.
• Minimum of 2 years scrubbing in a major OR; at least 1 year Open Heart Scrub Technician experience.
• Current CST certification and BLS certification.

Responsibilities

• Assist cardiothoracic surgeons with instrumentation for Open Heart procedures.
• Prepare and manage tubings and equipment used by the heart-lung machine.
• Provide age-appropriate patient care knowledge and support in the OR.
