Job summary

American Traveler, LLC is seeking a CVOR Surgical Technologist with Open Heart experience for a day shift hospital position in Ohio. The role focuses on assisting in open heart procedures within the CVOR and may require occasional General Surgery coverage when CVOR volumes are low.

Candidates should have graduated from an accredited surgical technology program, possess at least 2 years of Open Heart experience, and hold BLS certification; CST certification is preferred but not required.

Qualifications

• Graduate of an accredited surgical technology program.
• Minimum of 2 years of Open Heart experience.
• BLS certification required; CST certification preferred but not required.
• License required if applicable.

Responsibilities

• Hospital CVOR unit focused on open heart surgeries.
• Day shift schedule with options for four 10-hour days or five 8-hour shifts (6a-2:30p) based on preference.
• Floating to General Surgery required when CVOR volumes are low.
• Call requirements of at least 2-3 days per week depending on staffing levels.
• Weekend call begins at shift end on Friday and runs through Monday morning at 7a.
• Possible holiday call rotation depending on assignment timing.
• Assist in open heart surgical procedures within the CVOR.
• Support General Surgery cases as needed during low CVOR volume periods.
