Job Description

The Open Access Clinical Team Leader provides oversight, management, and clinical supervision to assigned clinical staff and serves as a member of the leadership team. Key responsibilities include hiring, scheduling, performance reviews, and participation in the CQI process. The position also covers open access staff schedules, coverage, and ongoing training and development.

Responsibilities & Essential Functions
  • Provides supervision and leadership to clinical staff, interns, and all direct reports within open access.
  • Facilitates individual supervision, group supervision, and team meetings.
  • Participates in the operation of the program within the context of the budget and production expectations.
  • Maintains a client caseload with a production expectation based on supervisee ratio and other responsibilities.
  • Participates in recruitment, selection of staff, and maintenance of staffing schedules.
  • Plans and develops clinic services and establishes policies and procedures within a managed care framework.
  • Ensures staff understand and follow procedures within the open access model.
  • Approves timecards and authorizes time‑off requests in the payroll system.
  • Performs essential functions of the Care Navigator role as needed.
  • Supports all functions of the Open Access model as appropriate.
  • Facilitates wellness and recovery of individuals, families, and groups through outreach, engagement, and after‑care planning.
  • Collaborates with other agency systems to ensure efficient clinic operation.
  • Coordinates program services, meetings, and marketing as needed.
  • Participates in the multidisciplinary team as required.
  • Member of the CQI committee; participates in CQI activities including program development, evaluation, and outcomes studies.
  • Provides direct clinical services using evidence‑based therapy approaches while maintaining production and record‑keeping requirements.
  • Represents the agency’s interests in the community and builds professional relationships and partnerships.
  • Handles onboarding and ongoing training and development of staff.
  • Monitors Relias utilization for staff and provides training.
  • Completes annual performance evaluations and manages personnel issues.
  • Maintains active clinical professional licensure through continuing education.
Travel Required
  • Must have a valid driver’s license and reliable transportation.
  • Occasional travel is required to provide services in different settings and attend agency meetings, events, and trainings.

Qualifications
  • Master’s degree in Clinical Social Work, Clinical Mental Health Counseling, Clinical Psychology, or a comparable program.
  • Independently licensed with an LICSW, LMHC, or LMFT in Massachusetts and at least three years of full‑time (or equivalent part‑time) post‑licensure experience in a mental health setting.
  • At least two years of experience working with children or families.
  • Prior supervisory experience preferred.
  • Demonstrated cultural humility and awareness of ethnic, cultural, and linguistic considerations.
  • Knowledge of diversity dimensions including gender, race, and ethnicity.
  • Respectful, inclusive communication skills across cultures.
