Ace Hardware Auburn is seeking a Service Advisor to bridge customers with our Outdoor Power Equipment (OPE) Service Department. You will gather repair details, communicate with technicians, and guide customers through the service process with professionalism and care.

Ideal candidates have a passion for problem solving, strong communication, and comfort with POS systems and service software. This is a full-time, on-site role in Auburn, Alabama, with opportunities for growth in the OPE department.

Qualifications

• Willingness to learn manufacturer systems and service procedures.

Responsibilities

• Greet customers and be the primary contact throughout the service process.
• Collect accurate information about equipment and repairs.
• Inspect incoming equipment with customers and document conditions.
• Create detailed work orders and communicate with technicians.
• Assist with diagnostics, repairs, and estimated completion times.
• Prepare repair estimates and discuss pricing with customers.
• Obtain customer approval before additional work.
• Keep customers informed about progress and delays as needed.
• Coordinate with Parts Department to ensure parts availability.
• Identify opportunities for additional maintenance or repairs.
• Help prioritize and schedule service work to keep the shop efficient.
• Review completed work orders for accuracy before notifying customers.
• Explain repairs, recommendations, and charges at pickup.
• Handle questions professionally and seek positive resolutions.
• Maintain accurate records and documentation.
