Job summary

Ace Hardware in Covington, GA is hiring an Outdoor Power Equipment/Ace Sales Associate to deliver outstanding customer service and sales support. You will merchandise products, assist with promotions, and help the store management team meet daily goals.

The role requires strong product knowledge for outdoor power equipment, particularly Toro and Stihl, and a commitment to excellent customer experiences. Weekend availability is expected in a fast paced retail environment.

Qualifications

• Aid customers in locating merchandising in store, on acehardware.com, as well as, processing special orders and locating parts for Outdoor Power Equipment and repairs
• Solicit customers to open an Ace Rewards card
• Answer customers’ questions and provide information on procedures and policies

Position Summary

Minimum Requirements

The minimum requirements for this position include:

• Education/Training:High School degree, some college preferred. Possess a vast product knowledge of outdoor power equipment related products along with a willingness to learn. Specifically, Toro and Stihl products.
• Skills/Knowledge: Knowledge of retail computer systems, MS Word and Excel a plus. Ability to quickly pick up computer systems for assisting customers.
• A commitment to service excellence and customer satisfaction
• Solid team player with excellent interpersonal skills
• Excellent communication skills, exceptional organizational ability, high attention to detail, and ability to multi-task
• Ability and willingness to work flexible hours including evenings, weekends and holidays to meet the needs of the business
• Take on-line and in person training to increase knowledge about the products.

Physical Requirements

The minimum physical requirements for this position include:

Must be able to lift 65 pounds frequently to load and unload customer orders.

Ability to stand for an extended period of time. Generally scheduled in 8-hour shifts

Move and handle boxes of merchandise and fixtures throughout the store, which entails lifting and perform all functions as set forth.
