Job summary

InterMed is seeking a licensed Physical Therapist to join the Workplace Health team and provide onsite care at L.L.Bean's employee health clinic in Freeport, Maine. The role emphasizes occupational health, ergonomics, and injury prevention, with a Monday–Friday schedule.

The PT will evaluate and treat musculoskeletal conditions, develop individualized plans, collaborate with providers, and promote worker safety while supporting return-to-work and wellness initiatives.

Qualifications

• Current Physical Therapist license.
• 2+ years of experience as a Physical Therapist.
• Experience in ergonomics, industrial rehabilitation, or corporate/occupational health settings.
• Experience conducting worksite evaluations and ergonomic assessments.
• Strong commitment to evidence-based patient care.
• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
• Ability to work independently while collaborating within a team.
• Strong problem-solving and clinical decision-making abilities.

Responsibilities

• Perform comprehensive physical therapy evaluations and functional assessments.
• Examine strength, mobility, posture, balance, coordination, and movement patterns.
• Develop individualized treatment plans with measurable goals and outcomes.
• Administer evidence-based interventions, including manual therapy, therapeutic exercise, and electrical stimulation.
• Evaluate and manage occupational injuries and conduct ergonomic assessments.
• Identify workplace risk factors and recommend preventive solutions.
• Support return-to-work and functional recovery programs.
• Lead injury prevention and wellness initiatives.
• Maintain accurate electronic medical records and ensure patient confidentiality.
