Job summary

CORE Occupational Medicine is seeking a Work Ready Specialist (Athletic Trainer) for our Hampton, VA site. This full-time role runs Monday–Friday daytime shifts, focusing on injury prevention, on-site first aid, and returning employees to work safely.

You will develop job-specific warm-up routines, perform ergonomic assessments, provide coaching, and collaborate with supervisors and healthcare providers to support worker wellness and safety across shifts.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Athletic Training or related field is required.
• Current/valid Athletic Trainer license or ability to obtain preferred.
• CPR/BLS certification required.
• Minimum 1 year of customer service/patient care experience.
• Experience in musculoskeletal injury prevention and first aid preferred.

Responsibilities

• Deliver on-site injury prevention and first aid services.
• Design and lead job-specific warm-up, stretching, and mobility routines.
• Conduct ergonomic assessments and provide safety coaching.
• Maintain records and report to the Project Manager with insights.
• Support return-to-work coordination with supervisors and medical staff.
• Lead wellness education, toolbox talks, and one-on-one coaching.
