Job summary

Lindahl Reed is seeking an experienced Onsite Construction Manager to support the NOAA-led waterfront revitalization project for the homeporting of the icebreaker USCGC Storis in downtown Juneau, Alaska.

This position is responsible for day-to-day oversight, coordination, and administration of waterfront construction activities at a federal facility, ensuring contractor performance, schedule adherence, quality standards, and regulatory compliance.

Qualifications

• Minimum 10 years of construction management experience on federal or comparable large-scale projects.
• Demonstrated experience in waterfront, pier, or marine construction.
• Familiarity with FAR/DFARS requirements, RFIs, submittal review, and contract modifications.
• Experience working in remote, coastal, or challenging environments.

Responsibilities

• Provide full-time, onsite construction management oversight for waterfront construction activities.
• Monitor contractor performance against schedules, budgets, and specifications.
• Review and evaluate contractor submittals, RFIs, and change order proposals.
• Enforce contract requirements and ensure compliance with federal standards and UFC criteria.
• Coordinate with NOAA COR and other government stakeholders on status and actions.
• Maintain daily construction reports, photographs, and project records.
