Job summary

Robert G. Campbell and Associates is seeking an enterprising Water/Wastewater Design Engineer to join our site design team.

This role is primarily onsite, collaborating with teams in NC, SC, and TN to apply civil and environmental design principles on public and private projects. You will work with a project manager and other engineers to develop solutions for treatment facilities, distribution and collection systems, lift stations, and asset management, while ensuring budgets and schedules are

Qualifications

• Minimum BS in Civil Engineering from ABET-accredited university.
• Minimum 5 years of experience and PE licensure in the states listed (or via reciprocity).
• Haestad (or similar) modeling software; CAD platforms such as AutoCAD, Civil 3D, Carlson, and/or MicroStation.
• GIS proficiency or demonstrated aptitude to learn while doing.

Responsibilities

• Assist in design and analysis of water/wastewater treatment facilities, distribution systems, and collection networks.
• Coordinate with regulatory agencies to obtain necessary approvals.
• Work closely with private and local government clients.
• Assist project manager in identifying funding opportunities and assisting with funding applications.
• Collaborate with site development, survey, and inspection staff to deliver turnkey projects.
• Perform field investigations, data collection, and site inspections.
• Recruit and mentor new staff to grow the utility design team.
